Cellcolabs
Cellcolabs is a biotech company specialising in Industrial GMP production of high-quality Mesenchymal Stem Cells. The company was founded on the research conducted by Professor Katarina Le Blanc and co-founded by Takura and Norrsken. For two decades, Katarina’s team at the Karolinska Institute have been dedicated to advancing stem cell research. Cellcolabs’ mission is to leverage this expertise to provide high-quality stem cells on a larger scale.
Takura
Takura is a biocell portfolio development company built on Swedish research and innovations. Takura is active in regenerative medicine (MSC) as well as in immuno oncology (TIL). The aim is to produce cells, develop advanced cell therapies and make them accessible to people in need of treatments. Takura is the majority owner of four holdings; Cellcolabs (Industrial GMP production) , StromaBio (human MSC applications), and CuraCell (TIL immuno oncology). There are growing needs for MSC therapies; the aging population and increased incidence of chronic diseases are the two most important drivers. The possibility of replacing surgical procedures with cell therapy treatments will also create great commercial opportunities in the future. MSC have proved to be safe and effective in treating inflammation, auto-immunity and orthopedic disorders.
